MT. KORBU & MT. GAYONG DAY 4 (2/5/2007) PHOTOS

Last day of the expedition, we descended from the campsite to the starting point. Met up with Anakhutan along the way. The logging trek was too slippery. Slip more than 6 times along the way. Wee (from Anakhutan) also slipped about 7 times. Got stunk by a sweat bee at the 2nd last river before the starting point. Had to jump into the river as more bees were surrounding me. After Sg. Senoi-oi, had to hike for about half an hour to a rest hut. Thanks to Forest Gan who managed to arrange the motor bikes rides for us. This saved us time as we did not need to hike for 3 km out.

Caption for the photos will follow soon.

Hi Lim, where to apply for the trekking permit from? Congratulate to four of you to conquer Korbu and Gayong without a guide and GPS. I have been planning for this hike for quite some time but do not have enough number to form a team.

Thanks. You need to write in to

Pejabat Hutan Daerah
Kinta / Manjung
31000 Batu Gajah
Perak Darul Ridzuan

Do you want the format of the letter? If yes, may i have your e-mail address please ?

Heard that your Multiply friend, KL Tan is interested to go Korbu & Gayong. She can perhaps be your team member.

Thanks and regard,
LIM FANG HAU

Yes, Please enail the letter format to me at loitc04@gmail.com.

We are planning to go in this coming National days. I have the GPS trek map to Korbu & Gyong.

After getting the approval from the Pejabat Hutan Daerah, do we need to report to the police station for the trek?

For safety reasons, it is advisable to lodge a police report at Tanjung Rambutan police station.

Please use my latest hiking log as a guide as the template that I emailed to you was slightly inaccurate.
