MT. KORBU & MT. GAYONG DAY 2 (1/5/2007) PHOTOS

Second day took us to the summit. This was the most difficult and longest hike for the day. After the last water point, had to carry water (7 litres) for almost 7 hrs to the summit of Korbu. The trail to the last water point was quite narrow at certain point and any fall could be dangerous. I nearly got stunk by bees when passing through the trail at altitude 1,850 metres (already in the mossy forest). Felt tired on my back when reaching the summit at around 5.45 p.m. due to the heavy load carried. Decided not to proceed to Gayong due to insufficient time. Overall, this trail to Korbu summit was quite long as compared to Kem Seroja route (I have yet to try out the route). The other team coming via Kem Seroja arrived more than 1 hr earlier.

Captions for photos will follow soon.
