MT. KORBU & MT. GAYONG DAY 3 (1/5/2007) PHOTOS

The third day took us to Gayong. The scenery in the mossy forest to Gayong was magnificient. Really enjoyed the beauty of the tropical rain forest. The Trans Titiwangsa route could be seen along the way to Gayong. Along the way, met up with Kenny Sin and Wee of Anakhutan. They were on their way to Korbu from Gayong after hiking from Yong Belar. Managed to meet up with Forest Gan, the guide for Anakhutan. He is one of the legend in mountain climbing. Majority of the route along the Titiwangsa range was opened by him and his other fellow hikers 20 years ago. After Gayong, we returned to Korbu. We descended from Korbu via the Kem View route and met Anakhutan along the way. Thanks to Forest Gan & Anakhutan who blocked the route (at altitude 1,850 m) that was infested with bees nests. New route (along the cliff) next to the bees nests was opened by Ah TUT (of Anakhutan) for trekking.
