19 September 2009: I did not bother to think about the steepness and the length of the trail on the first day as we (team of 12) were late since we started hiking at 12 noon. There was no time to stop for walking lunch and we were hiking at faster than average pace in order to reach Kem Kijang before sunset.

We passed Kem Seroja (Altitude: 675 metres) by 4 p.m. and reach Kem Kijang before 6 p.m. If hiked at relaxed and average pace i.e. with sufficient stops it would take us around 7 to 8 hrs.

The trail was long and steep almost all the way up to Kem Kijang (Altitude: 1,050 metres).

I only realised the length and steepness when coming down on Day 3 (21 September 2009) to the starting point. The trail was indeed steep and long from the starting point to Kem Seroja.
