Hi Fang Hau
If you drive your car to Temenggung Dam, do you think there are places to park if you lock your car securely? That way, you do not need to go there by taxi. How far from Grik to the dam by taxi and how much was the fare? RM80?

Hi Philip,
Yes. there are places to park your car.
not sure how much if take taxi.
In order to go there via Gerik, you need to book a van earlier. the van driver will take you to Pengkalan Trojen. from Pengkalan trojen you will take a boat ride to Pos Kemar. from Pos Kemar you will take a 4WD to Kampung Lelar i.e. passing by Kampung Rantau. All the transport arrangement in one package to and flow is RM720.
there is no taxi service at Pengkalan trojen. Unless you are familiar with the place, it is advisable to take the van ride from Gerik.
The van driver will coordinate with the boat operator and the 4WD driver for the transportation arrangement.
The last time I was there with friends, we parked our car at the van driver's house. Later the van driver took us to Pengkalan Trojen.
Are you interested to go ?

Not sure ... from what you said, this Gunung Ulu Sepat isn't so spectacular. Maybe Mount Kinabalu is better. Gunung Mulu park and Kinabalu park are world heritage sites. Maybe if I have visited them, i will consider other hikes.
